Fantastic Train Action with UK's SMARTEST locos: Class 93s at Carlisle 17 March 2026

17th March at Carlisle station - with Class 93s adding to a fantastic and action filled time. The first thing I found were a pair of ROG Class 93s having laid over en route to Inverness to move carriages. Plenty of other Freight and loco action. Plus the amended West Coast Main Line Avanti, TransPennine and ScotRail trains following the Union Street fire in Glasgow closing Central Station. Of course, Northern trains are running to schedule We hear that Network Rail will open the west side of Glasgow Central on 18th March, thus allowing one Avanti train per hour but no TransPennine services yet.
