In this week's video, I travel to Somerset to RSPB Greylakes for my first visit, and was a little disappointed, although I saw a lovely Kingfisher. However, the reed beds were a little (a lot) more than I had expected, and little could be seen. This is a site to return to in the autumn or winter. I also visited, again for my first time, Blashford Lakes Nature Reserve, part of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. This is a very large area, with several well-appointed hides, and while it was a disappointing visit on the south lake, the Ivy Pond, the North lake at both the Goosander Hide, and the Tern Hide produced many sightings, unfortunately, my video and photography skills are not quite up to capturing terns in flight...yet. I also spot dunnock, pied wagtail, robin, and very far away (too far even for a 700mm lens) some Egyptian geese. Music in this video is "Birds in Flight" by Dan Lebowitz
