Shaurya Bastola - BIRKHE (Official Music Video)

"BIRKHE" is my fourth original Nepali song. Growing up as kid in NEPAL, I used to borrow cassettes from my maternal uncle's vast music collection. One of them was an album of western soundtracks ,ever since I have been drawn to spaghetti western sounds and films, and that dusty tension has stayed with me forever. This song is inspired by that feeling, the mystery, the wide-open spaces, and the stories you could hear with or without words. This is my way of bringing that memory back to life via a story i wrote few years ago. “BIRKHE” is a cinematic narrative which brings that western spirit into Nepali, telling the story of two brothers torn apart by greed and jealousy. Driven by sharp rockabilly riffs and vintage live drums over a relentless country rock pulse, it builds like a duel and ends in haunting uncertainty. This is an honest attempt to tell the narrative using a mixture of hand drawn art and visual AI animation and hope you enjoy it.
