Visualizing the Causes of Death in India (India part IV)

Almost 10 million people die in India every year. In this video I visualize from what causes, what has improved and what challenges remain. From being a country of high child mortality and short average life span, India today has seen major improvements in health in the last few decades. Still today many Indians die from neonatal disorders early in life, road injuries or cancer in the middle of life or heart diseases and strokes later in life. India is suffering from the middle-income nations dilemma with a share of the population dying from preventable communicable diseases connected with poverty and a share of the population requiring expensive radiation and chemotherapy as well as treatment for dementia and diabetes.
