A secretive Cold War nuclear bunker, kept hidden in northern Denmark for sixty years, is now seeing the light of day. The sprawling formerly top-secret bunker, called "Regan West", is well-hidden among the trees of Rold Skov forest and built 60 metres beneath the ground. Intended to house the Danish government as well as the sitting monarch in the event of nuclear war, the site is set to open as a museum on Monday 13 February. "It's a time capsule of papers, pencils, everything is where they were left" explains museum director, Lars Christian Nørbach, who also explains that recent increased tensions between Russia and the West have made the topic all-too relevant again. "The Cold War gained actuality again, and that's what we are telling about in the museum." (AFP)
