As I was making this arrangement I stopped to think, and I found it interesting to realize how often this particular track gets remixed. In general eosd has way too much of a gravitational pull as far as touhou goes. I wanted to make this arrangement to test some new instruments, mainly the toyo, the ronroco, and the charango which are present in this arrangement. I chose to do the zamba carpera for quite a specific reason, but also as it is the festive sibling of the traditional zamba I thought to put in the instrument of all festivals in parts of the chaco aka the erkencho. Unlike other cuecas and marineras I’ve done, I did try to actually make this one have a segunda. But also what was really fascinating to me was baking the unique chord progression into the melody of the song itself, its quite satisfying getting the two to work together and complement each other. As for the art, I thought my recent thumbnails were a bit lazy. I really also just wanted to try something new so hence why I did all of that. The naming as well, I chose zamba over septette just because I thought it’d be funny, a lot of zambas are named like “zamba de-“, etc, so that was my line of thinking. Lastly, I would like to thank anyone reading this far into the description but also for listening to my music. I try to do what I do, but it is a bit of just purely passion work at the end of the day. If you could share this piece, that would be nice. But even supporting me through my bandcamp and kofi as well, its whats helped me create all this music in the first place. Without this channel I would’ve never had the chance to make half the stuff I do now. #touhoumusic
