So. I don't know who will read this. But here's some wordz. When I was a kiddo living at mum n dads I was working on this album here for about a year. Writing the songs and toying with the sound. I had a thrash band and we lost our second album to a computer that died and I picked up these songs I'd been tinkering with for a while and recorded them as an album. I used to speak on message boards back in the day and there was a DUDE on one of them who used to post far out and funny lyrics to songs that didn't exist and I wanted some singing on my tracks. That was Mazz. Mazz was up for it. We combined our forces and then put the songs on MySpace. It exploded and took a life of its own. We got record deal offers and took one with Doomanoid Records, and we had a drummer, Paul Burnett offer to drum and a comedian on Manchester offer to play bass. So the songs got upgraded to being a 'band'. We got asked to play one gig, and we accepted. Played the Snooty Fox in Wakefield supporting Lord Vicar and had fun. Then we got asked to play at The Old Blue Last in London with Invasion and Witchsorrow. We never planned to be a band but it rolled on and we did an EP with an amazing band from Finland called Vinum Sabbatum. And then got signed to Soulseller Records and we did out second album The Devine Right of Kings. I left the band because I got into all my house music stuff and went on to have a career in dance music. And the comedian bass player tried to write me out of the bands history in interviews which was sad. What made me happy though is the guys who did take up my role in the band after me were my friends from the past and one of the future guitar players Linz I got to know years later. And I think he did an amazing job. Mazz, Paul and I got back together to make another album with the OG line up here under the name Bloody Bishop with an album called Celestial Monk which if you search for it on YouTube it's here and on bandcamp. Last year the album The Sleeping Wizard, the album that sent us all off on an unexpected journey, turned 15 and I remastered it to have more beef and power. It's not official as such but I guess you can't get more official than me remastering it because Groan was my baby in a way, and Mazz co-parented the music with me. If you come across this and remember us, drop a comment and say hello. I hope life's treating you well. I hope you're healthy and I hope you enjoy the album once more. 01 Ride of The Antichrist 02 Witchy Woman 03 Psychedelic Demons 04 Deadly Omens 05 The Martyr King 06 Sleeping Wizard 07 Ancient Space (Master of Time)
