“On Thursday, 12 December 2024, the Border Focal Point Network hosted the 21st Beyond Borders Breakfast Debate, introducing the ACROSS Data Hub. Developed by DG REGIO and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the ACROSS Data Hub provides harmonised geospatial data and socioeconomic indicators to support evidence-based policymaking in EU border regions. The session highlighted its role in tackling challenges related to public transport, healthcare, and governance, while showcasing its ability to unlock the potential of cross-border cooperation. As a one-stop platform, the ACROSS Data Hub facilitates the planning, implementation, and monitoring of policies, ultimately helping to maximise the benefits of cross-border collaboration.
