Building a dream garage workspace doesn’t start with perfect plans or a massive tool collection — it starts with frustration, clutter, and the decision to finally do something about it. In this very first episode of our channel, we’re starting from zero subscribers and inviting you along as we begin transforming our garage into a functional, intentional DIY and woodworking workspace — one project at a time. // Chapters 00:00 Intro: Zero subs, big plans 00:37 Kicking off the dream workshop 01:08 Heating the garage and gearing up 02:02 Chores, chickens, and getting distracted 02:56 Setting the first time-lapse 03:25 Project backlog tour in the garage 04:20 Plants, garden dreams, and greenhouse talk 04:54 Hand-me-down projects and broken tools 05:10 Marketplace finds and porch pickup debate 06:13 Can clutter fund the whole workshop? 06:30 Overwhelmed by stuff and getting started 09:54 Day 2: Resetting the work tables 11:49 Favorite centipede work table 13:15 Teamwork, buckets, and organizing tension 13:44 Debating MDF vs pretty workshop finishes 15:10 Why a woman's touch matters in the garage 16:12 Clearing bikes, kid car, and tool clutter 17:02 DeWalt blowers, failures, and 3D printing idea 18:11 Rusty nails and garage safety 18:36 Snow, weather regrets, and bikes outside 26:21 Painting the wall and missing tools 26:50 What we actually finished in this episode 27:42 Next steps: Shed, dump run, and carcasses 28:40 Recording the first episode and workflow 29:24 Upload plan: New episodes every Tuesday (Now Fridays) 29:46 Searching for a channel sign-off Mentions: @Bourbonmoth If you’ve ever: • Dug through stacks of boxes just to find one tool • Had to rearrange half your garage to make a single cut • Felt stuck because your space just doesn’t work You’re in the right place. This channel was born out of real life — not expertise, not perfection, and definitely not a Pinterest-perfect garage. Our DIY journey began when my dad spent a week with us and quietly instilled confidence in my husband around handyman projects. From there, things snowballed fast. What started as a “keep it in the shed” hobby slowly (and lovingly) took over the garage. Since moving into this house, we’ve built: • A coffee table • Outdoor benches • A chicken coop and duck coop • A blanket hutch and bench • A custom-built-in for our son And now, it’s time to build the space that supports all of that creativity. In Episode One, you’ll see: • How the garage slowly became overcrowded and inefficient • A walkthrough of the existing space and our plans for it • A full-time lapse of clearing out and prepping the garage • The start of our multi-part garage workshop build • The freshly painted wall — and what it will become next We also talk about why we’re documenting this journey. As wedding photographers, we’re often asked about our lives outside of weddings — what we do at home, how we live, how we build together. This channel is our answer. It’s a place for family in India to experience our life from afar, for past and present clients to continue following along after the wedding day, and for our kids (and future generations) to look back on and see how much life was lived in between the big moments. This is not a how-to channel pretending we have it all figured out. This is a build-with-us channel. You’re welcome to follow. You’re welcome to learn alongside us. You’re welcome to offer advice as we go. 👉 New episodes every Tuesday (Now Fridays) 👉 Subscribe to follow the full garage build series Next episode: we begin building the cabinet carcasses and move into the first real construction phase of our dream garage workspace. Thanks for being here at the very beginning. Zero subs. Big plans. #GarageWorkshop #DIYGarage #WoodworkingGarage #DIYCouple #GarageBuild #WorkshopOrganization #ZeroSubsBigPlans #DIYLife #BuildingTogether
