HIGH Friends! As soon as we heard the camping ban was lifted, we started packing up the truck! As of June 1st, crown land camping and backcountry camping in provincial parks was allowed again, yay! We decided to go camping on some crown land and then go exploring in the Wanapitei Provincial Park. And of course, we brought Felix the bong. This park is a non-operating park, which means, there's no staff or facilities available. Camping is still allowed in this park, and it's a popular party spot. Over 10 years ago, the shores of Wanapitei Lake were beautiful long sandy beaches. Today, the water goes right up to the edges of shore. Now that the water is so high, it created these long sandbar "beaches". We made our way to Bonhomme Point, which is now pretty restricted. The only way in is by foot or boat. We reminisced about the changed landscape and the good times that were had there. We had to have a smoke sesh there. On our way out, we stopped at roadside campsite we've always wanted to check out.
