Filmed on July 1, 2021 Today we set off to Midtown Manhattan. We explored Grand Central Terminal. Places to check out in the terminal definitely is the Grand Central Market featuring local business selling a variety of food items. You can find a fresh seafood place, cheeses, chocolates, spices and tea, and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can even buy packed and ready to eat sushi, poke bowls and cheese packs. It is the perfect stop for a quick bite or take away on your way to your train. Zeke and Theo enjoyed the famous toy store, FAO Schwarz. We got to channel our inner kid stomping on the big floor piano. If you haven't watched, BIG, by Tom Hanks, go ahead watch it. You'll see this piano in one of the scenes. We also visited the St. Patrick's Cathedral and lit a candle in memory of those who have passed away from this pandemic. The past couple of times we've visited, there was always mass going on and packed with people. Today, no mass was being held and much fewer people inside. We were able to walk around the church including to the very back of the church. The weather forecast was for rain in the afternoon so we fast walked it to Times Square, took the requisite photo op, we made our way to Grand Central Terminal. I mentioned that we were going to stop at Bryant Park but we didn't make it there due to the weather.
