Two Years of the Channel & 1969 Triumph GT6+ Engine Update Small Triumph Sports Library & Archives, Episode 26 (February 2025) A little rambling about the past, present, and future of the channel, followed by a brief update on my seized GT6+ engine, which is free at last! The standard statements: As always, my videos are based on some combination of research and experience. ***Please help me to ensure the accuracy of information on my channel. Please reach out when you detect errors or possible errors. I make corrections as needed in video descriptions, in comments, and in videos. ***I’m ALWAYS seeking useful input, advice, etc. Initial notes/corrections, pedantic nonsense, and self-mockery: I noticed that I say "however" (emphatically) quite a bit in this episode... 4:21 Here I am referring to Episode 13, August 2023, and Errata 1, September 2023. 24:39 Another complicating factor with how I approach the GT6 engine is the fact that my Spitfire engine needs an overhaul… ***General note on the engine work: If I had it to do all over again, I probably would have loosened the crank earlier in the deconstruction process, as I think it would have sped things up (and it was going to be pulled one way or another anyway). Live and learn. ***Also, I somehow neglected to mention that the most stubborn pistons required the use of an aluminum cylinder (approximately 2.75 inches in diameter and about a foot long) on the top of the piston and a big hammer (i.e. we drove those out of the bottom of the block).
