I made the Suraya Jacket from Sew Over it and am sharing my experience around some of the bulky areas with lots of layers on the pattern. You’ll see an overview of the pattern, the muslin, fitting adjustments and how I do Hong Kong finish faster and easier with just one seam per area to be covered with bias tape. Other videos with Sew Over it makes:    • Sew Over it Patterns   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Specifics: *Linen / Rayon blend Linen 60%, Rayon 40% *Size 14UK, I sized down one size from the recommended size as per my body measurements *Lengthened the front and back by 2” above the welt pocket marks *Lengthened the 2 piece sleeves by ⅝” on the lower third of the sleeve *Narrow shoulder adjustment of ⅝” on the front, back and the yokes (storm flap pieces). *Hand hems on jacket and sleeves *I do a Hong Kong look. No stitch in the ditch for me. I prefer to wrap the bias tape along the edge and sew on the edge in one step. Equally nice and neat. *No bound edges on shoulder seams, sleeves, sleeves and hem *I left my sleeves unlined *I didn’t top stitch, I under-stitched instead.
