A Landscape of Hope. A while ago, a friend of mine fell seriously ill. The doctors didn’t know if he would make it. Every morning he woke up to a blank, white wall — a silence heavier than the illness itself. So I hung a poster of Glencoe for him — something to give him space, air, and hope. And today… I’m driving through this place myself. Crossing a landscape that, for him, existed only on paper back then. People Make Places When I entered Glasgow, I saw the sign: People Make Glasgow. At the time, I didn't know that this slogan was created in 2013 and is now considered one of the best city branding campaigns in the world. This brand isn't about monuments or architecture – it's about people. Their kindness, unique sense of humor, and openness. It wasn't until later that I felt it for myself. At the university, a stranger told me the history of the local architecture. In a shop, a simple purchase turned into a conversation that lasted much longer than I had planned. That’s when I realized that it is the people who create the soul of this city. They are the ones who make the unfamiliar feel like home. That’s why, in the new year, I wish you exactly those kinds of people by your side."
