Join us in this fun Manila travel vlog as we celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary with a mix of budget-friendly luxury and adventure! This anniversary vlog follows our couple travel journey through Manila, Philippines – from enjoying a high-rise budget hotel with a million-dollar view to zipping around the city on a rented scooter. Along the way, we share plenty of Philippines travel tips to help you plan your own trip. • Budget Hotel with Luxury Views: We stayed at Kingsford Hotel Manila, an affordable hotel right across from the famous Okada Manila. Our room had an equally stunning Manila Bay sunset view – for free! (Okada offers a paid sunset tour, but we enjoyed the same view at no extra cost.) The hotel even surprised us with a complimentary cake for our anniversary and a huge breakfast spread. We also give you a quick peek at the rooftop pool area, showing that you can get a touch of luxury on a budget. • Scooter Rental Adventure: What’s an adventure without some wheels? We took a Grab taxi (very affordable in Manila) about 7 km to a local scooter rental shop. For just INR 650/day, we rented a scooter to explore the city (yes, only INR 650 per day!). The rental process was easy – just a deposit needed (the shop even rents out cars if bikes aren’t your thing). We also mention Move It, a handy two-wheeler ride-hailing app in Manila (great for quick rides on the back of a motorbike!). • Travel Tips & Local Experiences: Needing cash for the scooter deposit, we visited a high-security ATM. (Think armed guards and secure entry – an interesting insight into local bank security procedures!). Travel tip: ATM fees in the Philippines can be steep (around ₹500 fee (₱300 or $6) per withdrawal), so using your card for payments or withdrawing larger amounts less frequently can save you money. With our scooter ready, we rode through some local neighborhoods, getting a feel for everyday life in Manila away from the tourist spots. We share our reactions to the streets, housing areas, and the unique sights (like the extra security measures at banks) that caught our eye during the ride. Whether you’re planning to visit Manila or just enjoy watching couple travel adventures, this video has a bit of everything – budget hotel insights, a scooter rental in Manila how-to, beautiful city views, and genuine local experiences. Come celebrate our 7th anniversary with us in this exciting travel vlog packed with practical tips and memorable moments! Enjoy the ride and the romance, all on a budget.
