Collide connects musicians and visual artists to create unique aesthetic experiences. Different art forms come together and melt into a single unique performance – that’s the idea behind Reeperbahn Festival Collide. Curated with care, we permanently enrich the world wide web with a serial format celebrating music and art. The concept: One act, one visual artist, one shared stage. A creative culmination where unique and custom created works of art visually accompany live performances. Within the tensions between French hip-hop, cloud rap and the bodily beats of the EDM scene, Glauque has found their style. When the five-headed project from Belgium’s Namur released their debut EP “Réécriture” to a sympathetic press two years ago, their intensity practically screamed for live shows – coincidentally during the first peak of the pandemic. The hard-working collective used the forced time-out to further their zeitgeisty sound design which repeatedly rings true to the bands ambiguous name: on the one hand opaque like the turquoise of the seas, on the other a stock-take of a time in which dystopian visions of the future are all the rage once again due to a lack of tangible perspectives. Glauque have been providing the perfect soundtrack to the above for years on a professional level. And as part of Reeperbahn Festival Collide, the innovative Belgians’ post-modern productions collided with the meticulously tailored visualisations of renowned visual artists Tobias Hoffmann and Elastique. to create a completely novel interpretation of Leo Ferres’ “Avec le temps” – a multi-sensory experience. Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the centre of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference programme is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.
