A short film which started out with the idea of 'freedom' - for me, time to declutter and explore helps me feel happier and more free. I suppose I associate freedom with minimalism and exploration. The video was filmed as a stop motion style film, where I learned a lot - for starters, I decided to record in video rather than take individual photos and didn't realise I had ran out of memory space on my camera and had to go back and re-set-up from a certain scene - you can tell, but.I made it part of the sequence. Each frame is a freeze frame from the recorded film. This isn't my first attempt - previously I had used only one bookshelf but it didn't suit the widescreen aspect so I dragged two bookshelves to the living room, closed the curtains for better lighting control and started again. I later cleared my computer desk to film the sequence with the light-house and fishing. It took a few hours overall but I am happy with this although I hope to improve a lot for the future. #freedom #minimalism #sonya7c #35mm
