To clear up the point about solid white lines - they are there to prevent overtaking but they don't mean no overtaking. In the past I have had times when pupils have been driving on a road with two lanes in one direction and one lane in the other direction such as you can see at 7:55. Imagine that the pupil is driving up the hill on the side that has two lanes and they have been told that solid white lines mean no overtaking. The pupil then stays in the left lane at all times thinking that you're not allowed to overtake on a road with solid white lines on it. To say that they mean no overtaking is incorrect. They mean you shouldn't cross them but you can overtake someone if doing so wouldn't mean crossing the solid white line. There are roads that have very wide lanes and it's legal and possible to overtake, despite there being a solid white line down the middle, because you don't have to cross the line to overtake.
