LANTEMES is a musical group from New Ireland Province, specifically from the MADAK language area. The group was formed by and is headed by ROLAND WARTOVO who is also their main songwriter, sound engineer and producer. "LANTEMES" is the Madak word for the "sacred men's house" or "hausboi"(in Tokpisin). Most of the songs are traditional songs about village life and traditional customs like the "Shark Calling" and "Taro (gardening)" Seasons of the Madak area. They recorded and released their 1st album under the COVER NOTES Productions in Port Moresby, NCD, in 2016.
