Day 2 of my return to the abandoned rural cottage from my childhood started with a fresh morning, filled with loud bird songs and an unexpected visitor. Quiet hours, surrounded by nature, making coffee, meeting some animals and enjoying small adventures filled my day and soothed my anxiety. If you love abandoned places, nostalgic stories, cottage life and the beauty of slow and simple living, then this video is for you. About the gardening forum: When I first visited this place and started digging in what once was a garden to remove some young wild trees, I found some of my granny’s flower bulbs. Back then, I couldn’t recognize what flowers would grow from those bulbs and I decided to take them to the city and plant them on the balcony to see them bloom. While searching for information about how to store, when to plant and how grow them, I came upon a gardening forum, where I met a lot of quirky kindred spirits I thought didn’t exist. They encouraged me to start cultivating another abandoned piece of land closer to the city where I live with my family – husband and children, and that’s where I eventually developed that beautiful tulip garden you can see in one of my previous videos.
