If so, you may have come across an app called Internet and the uninstall button is either grayed out, or it has been replaced with a disable button. #samsunggalaxy #galaxys24 #galaxys23 #galaxys22 But that method is more complicated than simply using a computer with a USB cable. . .so I'll be showing you that method here today. If you do not have a computer that you can use, though, then be sure to check the video description below for a link to a guide I created on setting up LADB on your Android device. With LADB setup, you can enter the ADB Shell and execute the same command I'll be showing you here today. But again. for for this video, we will be using my desktop PC and a program called ADB & Fastboot tools. So if you don't have Google's platform tools installed on your computer yet, then I also have a second video linked below that will show you how to download ADB & Fastboot ++, which is the new name for the Tiny ADB & Fastboot installer that many of us are familiar with. With everything setup, we can now begin the process of uninstall the Samsung Internet web browser application from the default user on your Android smartphone or tablet. To do that, we are going to need to connect the phone or tablet to the PC with a USB cable. And we are going to need to have Developer Mode enabled. So again, if you have not revealed the hidden Developer Options menu on your Samsung Galaxy device, then check below for a link to a dedicated guide I did on the subject. Now we're going to launch a command prompt, windows PowerShell, or a terminal window in the same folder as our ADB and Fastboot tools. And we can even execute the adb devices command to make sure we the connection from our PC to the Samsung Galaxy smartphone or tablet is working correctly. Then, we're going to execute the command. . . adb shell and press enter on the keyboard. This will change our prompt from commands being executed from the PC to commands being executed directly on the Android device that is connected via a USB cable. Now, we're going to execute a command which tells the Package Manager service in Android to uninstall the application with the package name com.sec.android.app.sbrowser from the default user. aka user 0 This also tells the package manager to keep our user data for the app, just incase we need to re-install it at a later date. With all of this typed out. . .or pasted from the clipboard. . .we can press enter on the keyboard to execute it. And doing so should uninstall the Samsung Internet web browser application from the device. If you're actively watching the display when you press the enter button, you should actually see it disappear With this done, the Internet application will no longer be available on your device, no matter where you look for it. But if you ever find yourself wanting to use the application in the future. You could choose to perform a factory data reset. Which is ideal if you're just wanting to sell it or give it away to someone. Or you could go through all of this again and connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable. open a command prompt and enter that ADB shell again And then from here, you can execute the comamnd... pm install-existing com.sec.android.app.sbrowser and that will reinstall the application to your default user account so that you can launch the app and use it like normal.
