Sneaky Pete Season 2 vs. Season 1 Review

Season 2 of Sneaky Pete was a non-stop adrenalin ride that never took its foot off the gas, with over-the-top situations (breaking out of prison) and an over-the-top villain in Luka that contrasted with Vince in season one a much more restrained but still menacing gangster. While season 2 might have had more action and been more fun, I can't help but feel some of the brilliance of the slow-burning and more episodic season 1 was lost. The series follows Marius Josipović (Giovanni Ribisi), a released convict who adopts the identity of his cell mate, Pete Murphy, in order to avoid his past life. The series also stars Marin Ireland, Shane McRae, Libe Barer, Michael Drayer, Peter Gerety, and Margo Martindale. Shore left the project and was replaced by Graham Yost. This is my review for season 2 of Amazon Prime show Sneaky Pete, with the episode called The Sinister Hotel Room Mystery.
