These tests include full Blood count, liver and thyroid function tests, c-reactive Proteins, Chest Radiography and ultrasound, and several others discussed in this medical video lecture. Another diagnostic technique is lymphangiography. The information about the spread of lymph vessels and lymph nodes in the body is detected precisely through this technique. However, an expert radiologist is required to perform this method. A normal lymphangiogram is presented first. Then, the explanation is given on the lymphangiogram of congenital hyperplasia, distal obliteration, proximal obliteration with distal hyperplasia, and proximal obliteration with distal obliteration. Following this, isotope lymphoscintigraphy is discussed which is used to identify the severity of lymphoedema before and after the treatment.
