In this part, we sidetrack ourselves to get an item that will make the trek to the 4th Shrine MUCH easier. We need three items to get it and the first is a Hyrule Bass which is located in the pond just north of the Great Plateau Tower. Next, we head over to the Forest of Spirits (use your map) and hunt down a boar for Raw Meat. Lastly, we head back to the Old Man's cabin and get a few Spicy Peppers. After reading his diary (which tells you how to do this), we cook some Spicy Meat & Seafood Fry and show it to the Old Man to get his Warm Doublet as a reward for reminding him of his recipe (The 4th Shrine is located on a snowy mountain, and we will likely freeze to death before reaching it, so you have two options. You can get the Warm Doublet which you can equip to stay warm on the mountain, or you can make a dish out of Spicy Peppers which will give you a set amount of time that you will stay warm, however it WILL wear off. The Warm Doublet is permanent and the better choice in my opinion.) With either the Warm Doublet, or a Cold Resistant Dish in use, we begin climbing up the mountain and reach the 4th Shrine, Keh Namut. Once inside, we get the Cryonis Rune which allows us to make pillars of Ice out of any body of water. We can have up to 3 pillars at a time before they begin to replace each other (the 4th will shatter the 1st, etc.) This rune can be used to cross rapids and large bodies of water without worry, it can be used to lift Non-Metal Treasure Chests out of water for access, and it can be used on vertical water (waterfalls, etc) as well. We then receive our 4th Spirit Orb and after exiting the Shrine we are asked to line up the 4 Shrines in an "X" on our map and go to the point where they cross, which would be the Temple of Time. Once we arrive, we notice the Goddess Statue in the back is glowing and upon praying to it, we are given the choice between a Heat Container or a Stamina Vessel in return for our 4 Spirit Orbs (Pick whichever you want most. Every time we collect 4 Spirit Orbs, we can turn them in at a Goddess Statue for either a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel. With all the Spirit Orbs gathered, you can't max out both, so pick carefully.). After choosing, the Old Man will call us up to the roof of the Temple, so we use the ladder outside to get up to him. From here, the Old Man reveals his true identity and tells us the story of what happened 100 years ago. After the story, we receive the Paraglider and can now use it permanently to safely glide down from any height. The "Old Man" suggests we go see Impa in Kakariko Village next, which is beyond the Dueling Peaks, but before that we have a lot of optional collecting to do (next video). Collectibles: 7 1. Warm Doublet - 8:27 2. Amber - 11:35 to 11:43 (Use Magnesis to pull it out of the river) 3. Cryonis - 17:08 4. Spirit Orb #4 of 120 (Keh Namut Shrine) - 16:36 to 19:10 5. Heart Container/Stamina Vessel Upgrade #1 of 30 - 24:06 6. Paraglider - 32:47 7. Soldier's Bow - 33:30 (In the bell tower of the Temple of Time)
