𝐑𝐓𝐂 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐆𝐎𝐂 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟑𝟏-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 “𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞” 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐆𝐎𝐂 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟑𝟐-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 “𝐀𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐚” LOOK: On 03 March 2025, the Coast Guard Education Training and Doctrine Command conducted the convening ceremony of Coast Guard Officers Course Class 31-2025 “Charlie” and Class 32-2025 “Alpha” today at the Regional Training Center Bataan, PSALM Nuclear Power Village, Bagac, Bataan. The class was composed of 95 Candidate Coastguard Officers’ “Charlie” and 35 Candidate Coastguard Officers’ “Alpha.” This momentous event marks the beginning of their journey in the PCG service, where they will undergo rigorous training to become competent and disciplined officers. VADM EDGAR L YBAÑEZ PCG, Deputy Commandant for Operations, served as the keynote speaker for the convening ceremony. The Coast Guard Officer Course (CGOC) Class 31-2025 "Charlie" and CGOC Class 32-2025 "Alpha" are composed of graduates from prestigious maritime institutions, including the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), the United States Coast Guard (USCG), and the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP). Additionally, these classes include twenty (20) BS Marine Transportation, fourteen (14) BS Marine Engineering, one (1) BS Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, ten (10) lawyers, six (6) doctors, four (4) dentists, sixty-four (64) nurses, two (2) veterinarians, two (2) priests, and seven (7) psychometricians to further strengthen the technical expertise within the PCG. Also present in the ceremony were VADM CHARLIE Q RANCES PCG, Commander, Coast Guard Education and Doctrine Command (CGETDC); COMMO PAOLO Z ABEJUELA PCG, Superintendent, Philippine Coast Guard Academy (PCGA); Director, RTC Bataan; and other senior officers and non-officers. RTC Bataan's commitment is to enhance the operational capabilities and readiness of its facilities. Moreover, the PCG continues to recruit and develop professionals with competence, capability, and character well-being. Their expertise will be crucial in advancing the organization's mission of ensuring maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.
