Today we address the East Coast Crips, The east side crips or the ECCs. This gang have been around for over 5 decades and has a crazy story that involves a lot of prominent figures from there set, as well as history and some side stories. there's a Part 1, part 2 and this is a full video of the East Coast video. Extra information that didnt make the video: *The first street east coast crips Also known as the one gang or the first street gang are a ECC gang that originated in the pico-Aliso housing projects in the early 1970s. Originally known as the 1st street neighborhood crips, there territory is sits directly in front of Gabriel Garcia and Gless street and the rest of there neighborhood stretches from 4th street and Ceaser Chavez and, between Evergreen and Cummings street. Now during the 1980s the 1st street ECCs was one of the most well known, respected and feared gang’s especially under the east coast umbrella, but recently the gang does not have a very active presence in that area. Some Theories I found say they started to fade away when the Aliso village housing projects was torn down and replaced with the Pueblo’s Del Sol housing projects and that law enforcement, city officials as well as owners did everything in there power to push the gang out including evictions and gang injunctions. Even though this subset of the east coast crips are not as active as they used to be they are still represented in the east coast umbrella. *Originating on 59th street, The 59 east coast crips are a subset gang from Los Angeles california. The heart of there territory is on hooper ave and there neighborhood runs from central ave to Compton blvd between Gage and slauson ave. This subsets also aligns themselves with the duece card. *Other subsets include the 6 pacc east coast crips, it’s four different east coast gangs and there neighborhood stretches from Avalon blvd to the 110 freeway, between 60th to 69th street. this alliance includes the 62 neighborhood crips which is a gang that falls under the neighborhood car as well as the east coast and duece car. The 66 east coast crips, the 68th east coast crips and the 69 east coast crips also known as the shacc boys. *The 76 east coast crips also are under the neighborhood umbrella. There territory runs from 76th street between central and Compton ave. There neighborhood is also in the Florence-Firestone area north of watts. The 76s are known to wear Philadelphia 76ers attires as well as the 76 gas station logo colors. Yea the 76s is known for a lot more then that though. Nigga Shootouts, drive-byes, police chases, robberies, set ups, Yea these guys have a history of doing all that matter fact on October 2, 2006 the ECCs made headlines when two of its members Christopher Mathis and Akil Robbins led police on a high speed chase. The two was in a chase because it’s alleged that earlier they shot a member of the neighborhood rollin 40 crips 6 times with two fatal shots hitting his head. *You also have the 89 neighborhood coast crips which is also under the east coast, neighborhood and duece umbrella. Plus There’s the 97 east coast crips, the Q102 east coast crips which are located on 102nd street between San Pedro and Avalon ave, the 118 east coast crips which are located on 118th street, between main and 120th street, this is one of the oldest and the most feared gangs of the east coast crips. In addition The 190 east coast crips also known as Del amo blocc crips in Carson California are under the east coast umbrella, and ther neighborhood stretches from Del amo blvd to Wilmington ave, between Wilmington and university ave and they are one of the most feared and well known in their area.
