This information is all free and public on the Glyphs site https://glyphsapp.com/tutorials/creat... (where I found it). Worth noting: overlaps cannot be removed on export for a variable font, so if you are using this in production, a stroke/outline will yield somewhat weird results (you'll see the overlapping paths).
