What Mike Winger Gets wrong about Kephale part 1 Who's The Boss #88 08/23/25

In This video we begin looking at Mike Winger's critique of egalitarian scholars in his video series Women in Ministry. We focus on the video s"Male Headship: Is it REALLY Biblical? Women in Ministry part 8 in his series. We cover Mike's critique of Philip Payne and his use of a Plato quote and what Mike gets wrong about Payne and the quote from Plato. We also look at and critique Mike's conclusion that is was the common view of the people in the first century to see "the head" as that which was in charge and ruled. We explore Mike's views in light of other literature and evidence that Mike does not share and show that his view is NOT accurate, that the heart as that which ruled or lead was also a competing view in the first century and that Mike's assertion that Payne was wrong is due to a misreading of Payne and Plato as well as a not possessing broader understanding of the first century debate.
