A little souvenir of the Rocamadour Musique Sacrée Festival, where I had the pleasure of playing this beautiful (and not so small as it looks) German baroque style organ by Jean Daldosso. Here's a short piece of Bach to show off the warm, singing plenum underpinned by the 16' posaune - no brittle scratchy mixtures here! The casework has a striking appearance, being designed to look like the prow of a ship, and the stops can being pushed left or right to go onto either keyboard. Even the softest sounds have real presence in the basilica, helped along by the high stone vaulted ceiling... and yes, the Vierge Noire that inspired Poulenc to write his Litanies is just next door ; )
