After several decades river was diverted to a nearby water dam and natural border line have disappeared. The empty river bank started to be consumed by the jungles and border disappeared. Few years ago a large deposit of natural gas and coal together with other minerals have been found in the area. Surprisingly both states claim the deposits on their territory. Due to the fact that border line is nearly invisible both Alvaro and Chimanes governments decided to set the border on their own by placing new border stones. Both claim that border is either more to the side of one state orthe other. Prospectors setting the border were few times attacked and there for army was brought in to protect them. In the same time diplomaticactions are being taken to fix the border in the maps. Both states have as well build military facilities near the borders from where they operate their sphere of control in the area. One is operated on Alvaros side of the Border by Task Force unit the other side of the empty riverbank is in hands Chimanes government which secretly hired strong group of former guerrilla s to complicated the border setting to Alvaro prospectors . Guerrilas are located in the old barracs by the river bank on Chimanes side of the border. Tribes folk on the Sierra mountains are scared of the tense situation and exchanged sacred golden statues for money to hire PMC forces to protect their village but as well to help them collect the sacred artefacts from the jungle before mining industry comes to the forest and destroy all of the land scape. Test miming sites have been already placed and produce rough minerals and crude oil there for its pretty much obvious where will be location of best resources. Sometimes Border patrols have been exchanging warning fire to protect the Border stone placement but with the diplomatic negotiation getting closer to the end the time window for border finalization is quickly closing and who wants to take the land has to take some action quickly. SOG units and as well guerrilla recons reported some kind of cultist activities in the area of recognition, but no one knows really what it is. Patrols were more considered in protection of the border area. Some kind of savage ritual sites have been found but no investigation took place. Some patrols have not returned for long time…investigation shall take place.
