The deckhand fell in and the captain flooded the boat! I got to ride on a tugboat! It has always been a dream of mine to ride on a tug, and Harken Towing was very kind to let me follow along and film what it's like for them behind-the-scenes. A day in the life of a tugboat team if you will. There are 2 members on a boat. The skipper, Ken (captain), and the deckhand, Brett. These 2 guys were kind and unsuspecting but they were true professionals when you got on the boat. They are skilled in ways I had never seen before, and being on a tugboat was a lot more exciting than I expected. We spent the day pulling and connecting log booms, as well as helping to push a barge through a bridge, all on the Fraser River, between Vancouver and Port Coquitlam.
