Seed Snails - these Cardboard Rolls. We follow two characters, Kesser and Steen, as they reflect on the inconsistencies of online gardening advice and the nuances of linguistic communication. They explore how social media creators often present subjective experiences as universal truths, specifically regarding the effectiveness of "snail-pot" seed starters versus traditional methods. This critique of misinformation extends into an analogy about baking recipes, illustrating how people often argue over the "correct" way to perform a task without considering individual context. Beyond gardening, the narrative touches upon the misunderstandings of language and the disconnect urban populations have with sustainable food production. The story concludes with a sobering shift toward environmental concerns as the duo witnesses a local fire, prompting a realization that these larger ecological threats are far more significant than petty internet debates. Kesser and Steen watch YouTube gurus arguing about, for example: Are snail-shaped pots made of cardboard or is plastic better? And while they bite their tongues 🤣, a question quickly enters the arena, about language itself (about words, so to speak) 🚙🚗 In general, people are probably not really great at formulating their "hypothesis" and others may just show how they do things and enjoy sharing their experiences. Some make money on their channel, and therefore: are they smarter?? Nursing home talk Some have apparently claimed that germination happens faster when you use "snail pots" and then you start discussing whether that can be true, mixed with a little wisdom about what it takes for a seed to germinate. Nothing about why fast is better or whether it is important 🤔 To be specific, Kesser and Steen have just sown some different tomato seeds, which were in water to re-hydrate first. And just to compare the seeds that were in excess - they are still on a damp napkin on a cake plate .. so those that were sown are a few days further along (you can follow them in the tomato plant video - remember to subscribe) Normal distribution curve But it seems as if people can't tell the difference between a general observation and a universal truth. That is, purely linguistically. They may think that their own mother tongue is the same all over the world. And in fact, the two boys were just asked if they might know a driving instructor who understands Norwegian .. but nothing about where the person can learn Danish themselves (which may be the problem itself) there were no requirements as to whether it should be for a car, motorcycle, truck or maybe a bus ??! The person may not even think about the fact that Norwegian is actually a Danish dialect. What we mean is that in some situations some things may be preferable and you can't tell the whole history of the world from Adam and Eve every time you want to sow a row of radishes, right! Inspiration And we're not going to speak for or against snail pots as such... but we would like to give you a recipe for the real cinnamon snails that Grandma bakes every now and then. But then someone will probably come along with a "better recipe" from her grandmother or a shout that sugar is unhealthy!! #organickitchengarden #seedsowing Copyright 2026 - Flamme Rouge 🚩 Nature
