JBD new energy (LWS) BMS Software and App tested... I can't believe this is still a thing in 2025!

In this next video about the LWS BMS aka JBD new energy, we will have a comprehensive look at the software, the mobile app and all parameters and settings we can adjust for this BMS. Even I read the documentation for this BMS before, I was still shocked to discover that the pack overvoltage protection was used as the requested charge voltage, or CVL! That is crazy that we still have to deal with this sh!t in 2025. A BMS protection parameters should never (NEVER) being used to charge a battery. And this is exactly what this BMS, or the current firmware at least, does. The BMS tells the inverter what to do but we cannot charge a battery to a certain voltage and run the BMS into an OVP at the same time. This would not allow for any absorption or balancing. I cannot support such a BMS and software which is 5 years or more behind what we have already achieved with the JK-BMS. Also, some of the default parameters of this BMS are far too high and potentially dangerous. There is a lot of work to do for the team at LWS!
