They didn't want Serge overshadowing the main hype around Arnold and Lou Ferrigno in the documentary Pumping Iron. Devastated, Nubret stopped training and dieting, losing 12 pounds in 12 days. To this day, many believe that Arnold wasn’t Unbeatable and if Nubret had competed at full strength, the outcome might have been different.
