Unedited home video footage filmed by my mom and cousin on a classic 1980s Sony Handycam, capturing a memorable Thanksgiving Day in 1993. This special gathering brought together several extended family members at my aunt and uncle’s farmhouse in Somerset, California, in the beautiful El Dorado County area. My grandfather and his longtime girlfriend traveled in from Georgia, along with my uncle and cousin from Carmel Valley, CA, making it a full and lively celebration. The day was spent enjoying the sunshine in the backyard—relaxing, catching up, and spending quality time together. There was even a tractor ride with my uncle, while inside a honey-baked ham and fresh bread were being prepared for the feast. We also celebrated my grandfather’s birthday with cake and gift opening, making the holiday even more meaningful.
