Traditional Greek food local stories continued for another day. Me and Maria headed to Palaiochori village Halkidiki next after having spent some time in neighboring Arnaia village where we watched how the local traditional Greek sausage is made (Part 1). • Traditional Sausage Making | Halkidiki Gre... (Part 2) On this day, Maria a local home cook was gracious enough to open the doors to her amazing modern country style house and welcome us. She showed us how they make a local traditional Greek dish (w/brick oven) using pork and a type of beans called Louvidia (type of yellow bean) which only grow in the area thanks to the wet subsoil and micro climate. Tasting was believing as Maria also brought out various other delicious dishes (using local ingredients) along the main dish. We will be posting some of those photos on our Instagram page in the next fews days.
