Three tall and skinny pamphlet journals made from a combination of junk mail envelopes and new Hanshi paper (Brush Calligraphy Practice paper from Asia) purchased either from Amazon or Daiso. These are all a single signature bound with a three-hole pamphlet stitch. The covers are cardstock junk mail envelopes or packaging. The closures are ribbon ties attached to the pamphlet with 3/16" eyelets. My intent in making these is to maximize recycling junk mail into something useful. I had hoped that would be possible without purchasing stickers to cover writing on the envelopes, but I am not certain the paint is a better option. Let me know in the comments if you think I should just leave all the print on the envelopes visible or if you think the paint would be fine to write on.
