El Camino de Santiago 2025 - Day 19 - Bercianos del Camino Real to Mansilla de Las Mulas

Big day on La Meseta! Over 17 miles! Woke up early and took off before the sunrise, it was so beautiful, as I usually say! We really enjoyed it today, felt like a movie scene we were living in as we listened to Abba. Worked our way across the plateau today, pure wheat fields everywhere you could see. We could see the beautiful mountain ranges to the north of spain, we passed through cute little towns, one famous one, Reliegos, where we sat down for a snack and saw the history of the meteor that struck the town. We had a couple of good stops, I really enjoyed the plains today, it felt so vast and made us seem so small. Saw beautiful flowers and met great people throughout the day. Made it into town early and got ourselves a lovely private room in a small hostal. We did one our first touristy things of the camino, we went to the museum of the province of Leon and thoroughly enjoyed it, I learned so much about the history of Spain, the people, culture, and everything in between. We then did our favorite evening activity, shopping for food! We loaded up! Kristian saw us and met up with us where I think that Mom and him made ammends from the confusing language barrier and cold mixed signals he gave, he is very kind, glad we could feed him!
