Today I wanted to show you all how I make my maps, as well as work on the lighting and shading for them, with a little bit of frankensteining. Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⭐ Programs I Use ⭐ RPG Maker VX Ace GIMP 2.10.10 PNG Optimizer (https://psydk.org/pngoptimizer) I use Photoshop as well, but not for lighting and shading or even mapping, but rather menu backgrounds like textboxes and pause menus, so that's why I haven't included that in here. ⭐ Two Important Scripts! ⭐ Fix Picture to Map by Modern Algebra: http://rmrk.net/index.php?topic=44837.0 Map Screenshot by Hime: http://himeworks.com/2013/02/map-scre... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This isn't meant as a tutorial, which is why I didn't write out much during the video. Its more just a showcase, really. But please take notes if you'd like! Always keep note of this though: shading levels are Normal-type blending, but lighting levels are Addition or Add-type blending.
