How to - 1. Create 6 circles using the ellipse tool (use command C and F to copy and bring to front for easy copy) 2. Create a 'spoke' using the rectangle tool 3. Use direct selection tool (A) to shape the spoke how you would like 4. Rotate (R) the spoke by selecting the spoke, hit R key, option click the center of the wheel, and then 360/5 (substitute the last number for however many spokes you have) and then hit copy 5. Use command D and hit it however many spokes you would like to repeat the last rotate 6. Select spokes and inner circle and find the pathfinder tool, then hit 'Unite' 7. Shift M to use the shape builder tool, option click whatever lines you want to go away lolz
