RIYL: acoustic meets electronic, experimentalism, interdisciplinary art, ambient. In an experimental ambient style, this project explores the harmony between sine waves and marimba. Like the stillness and quiet, lonely feeling of waiting for the sine waves to reach your ears in an audiologist’s clinic, it aims to leave the listener suspended in a breath, waiting for what’s to come next. Sonja Bahlenberg lives in Malmö, where she is working on a music project supported by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. She is a percussionist and composer focusing on marimba and electronics.
