A Strengthened Partnership for Nurturing Care delivers hope for the youngest children and their caregivers in Busia County, Kenya, where poverty, malnutrition, and early motherhood too often limit a child’s chance to thrive. Funded by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the initiative seeks to change this reality by empowering caregivers with the knowledge, confidence, and emotional support to raise healthy, loved, and stimulated children. Beyond teaching better parenting practices, it is a movement to nurture the nurturers—to help caregivers heal from trauma, find mental and economic stability, and discover joy in caregiving. Working hand-in-hand with local partners, governments, and communities, the project envisions vibrant, interconnected systems where every child—regardless of where they are born—can grow up safe, nourished, and ready to learn.
