Making Durbar 2026: A Behind-the-Scenes Film by Boito

Behind the scenes of creating our Durbar installations, our project moved like a carefully improvised dance. Artisans dialed in from corners of Odisha - workshops tucked among birdsong, forested hills, and areas where internet connections froze mid-sentence. Each installation was a patchwork of crafts, with parts relying on one another to complete the whole. Artisans visualised, sampled, and reworked at every stage, often without ever seeing each other’s workspace, or sometimes even their faces. Somewhere between our cross-district runs and the improbable choreography of hands and tools, the unimaginable took shape. A reminder that even our wildest ideas can take flight.
