In this video we are going to cover CP_CURVEANALYZER command in CADPower for AutoCAD, BricsCAD, ZWCAD and ARES Commander Software. ******************************************************************* Command Description: The CURVEANALYZER command is used to optimize the cutting path of a tool that goes around a closed figure. The close figure can be a closed polyline, spline or circle. During the program run, it constantly measures the turning radius of the tool as it traverses along the periphery of the material to be cut. The CURVEANALYZER command can correctly process a closed figure that must be cut on the outside or inside. Accordingly, this must be specified during the program run by choosing the appropriate item near the top of the dialog. There are a number of other options in the dialog box, some of which can be left as it is and only some need to be changed or specified. The most important parameters that need to be properly specified are • Interval along the curve to do the sampling (marked on the dialog as ‘Distance along the curve to check pattern’). • Distance along the curve to create linear points (this can be set approximately five times the interval value set earlier). It is an internal parameter used by the program. Please set it as 5 times the interval value, for optimal results. • Allowed minimum radius between checked distance. This is a very important parameter and specifies the radius which is allowable for the tool to turn and cut. Any radius below this value will be flagged as not-toolable and an alternative straight-line section created for such sections. • Maximum offset distance between curve and tool turning point. This specifies the offset curve boundary, within which all the straight-line sections of the tool path must lie. • The text height option is to be specified only if the option to create the radius and deflection angle is chosen in the dialog box. This is only for debug and information purposes and not part of the output. • Origin point: The output from this program is a DXF file and a CSV file containing the coordinates. The DXF coordinates are actual ones from the drawing, while the CSV coordinates can be specified relative to a picked offset. This is done by specifying an origin point. By default, this value is 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 • At the bottom of the dialog box, there are post-processor options provided, which can be run from the command line after the initial process. There is also an option to just run the post-processor on the cutting tool path in order to make minor changes manually, like Move, Delete or Insert a vertex on the polyline. • Please also be aware the Inner and Outer segment check post-processing option is not available when the curve region to cut is set as Inside. Program logic:The program scan through the curve from the beginning in distance intervals as set in the dialog box. Between three successive points, the deflection angle is measured and from the chord distance, the radius of the curve is computed. If the turning radius is less than the stipulated value, the tool marks the section in BLUE color. ******************************************************************* CADPower Tutorials | CADPower Videos for AutoCAD BricsCAD ZWCAD ARES Commander | DesignSense Software Technologies | Rakesh Rao https://bit.ly/3yZpJ0y GeoTools Tutorials | GeoTools Videos for AutoCAD BricsCAD ZWCAD ARES Commander | DesignSense Software Technologies | Rakesh Rao https://bit.ly/2U6z3ku All Videos | GeoTools & CADPower Tutorials | DesignSense Software Technologies | Rakesh Rao | AutoCAD | BricsCAD | ZWCAD | ARES Commander https://bit.ly/3r8TVU6 Please don’t forget to Subscribe | Like | Share our Channel: https://bit.ly/2UXrvAx Contact us at: DesignSense Software Technologies Pvt.
