Philip began his musical career as the guitarist, writer, and producer of Tragic Venus. He co-wrote and co-produced "Paintbox" for the album "For Your Ears Only" (1987), a compilation record released by Third Mind Records in the UK, and "Gabrielle With Rose," which appeared on the compilation "Various - Leiv Traumas" ‎(1989) on the French label Aspect D'Une Certaine Industrie. In 2017, he composed the score for Monitor: The Game, developed by DNT games. Monitor: The Game went on to win the Games Developer World Championship that same year.
