#facialfeminization #ffssurgery #transformationtuesday [CC English] Facialteam patient Sienna, from Australia, shares her FFS Surgery experience with Facialteam in Marbella, Spain only 8 days after her procedures. Full transcript My name’s Sienna and I’m from Australia. My surgery was 8 days ago. I had a forehead reconstruction and a slight genioplasty along with a tracheal shave. I first came out when I was 17 or 18 years old and then I went back into the closet for a bunch of different reasons, and then it took me roughly another 8 years to come out again and have the financial ability to afford it. I saw results as soon as I came out of the operating room before the puffiness and swelling and all that started. I’d say it was tough. Now, it’s been 8 days a lot of the swelling has subsided and I’m seeing those results again and I’m really happy. To me this is a dream come true, so now I can just get on with the rest of my life and keep doing what I do. I guess the biggest changes for me in my life after having FFS will be things like going to the shops and not having to worry about doing my hair, putting on make-up and doing my fringe in just the perfect way to hide my forehead. Now I can just go in my PJs to the shops and buy things. And going to work every morning as well, I found that every morning I’d have to put in like 45 minutes’ worth of effort every day to make sure that I was happy with how I looked and that I passed before going to work, whereas now I can regain those 45 minutes, I can go back to sleep and just chill. So, coming from Australia it’s pretty far to Spain and not a lot of Spanish people speak English so I was worried about things like getting discharged from the hospital and having to make my way back to my hotel, check myself in and make sure that if I needed to go back to the hospital, I would be able to do that. And Facialteam provided me with contact details so that if anything went wrong, I had someone to speak to who could help organise things like that, which has been pretty fantastic so far. Over the couple of days after being discharged as well I was checked in, people sent me messages through WhatsApp saying “hey, how are you going? Is everything OK?”, so overall my experience has been fantastic. In terms of advice for anybody who is about to undergo facial feminization surgery, I would say try to relax in the run-up to the surgery itself. It can easy to become anxious and if you’re at home in the hotel or something you just keep thinking about it, so maybe go out for a walk, enjoy some of the really cool restaurants. As for the surgery itself, it’s going to be tough for the first couple of days; just know that you will get better, the swollenness and puffiness will go down and then things are going to be good.
