Trayvon Martin Case 911 Calls Time Stamped - Final

This video replaces two earlier clips in which I had attempted to deduce the order of the 911 calls and match them to the logged start times reported on a TV station website. The event logs from the Sanford Police Department were released on 9/19/2012, so the order of the calls can now be labeled precisely, and the logs times reported in that TV story have been officially confirmed. 1. 7:16:11 Witness 11 2. 7:16:41 Witness 3 3. 7:17:06 Witness 18 "The Teacher" 4. 7:17:15 Witness 6 "John" 5. 7:17:54 Mary Cutcher 6. 7:18:00 Witness 19 I had made a few mistakes in my deductions, most notably placing the call from 'John' (witness 6) significantly later than it actually occurred. I stand corrected, and I apologize for any negative inferences that may have been drawn by myself or others on the basis of suspecting it took an unusually long time for him to call 911. Call 3, logged at 7:17:06 actually lasted over 14 minutes. I have only included the first portion here, as my purpose is to clarify the timeline of events, and the full content of the calls can be heard on Wikipedia, among other places. There was one other 911 call I did not include at all (from Austin Brown's sister), again because it contains no elements useful in establishing the timeline. It was logged at 7:19:04. During her call, Mary Cutcher is speaking to her roommate Selma Mora Lamilla. Cutcher and Mora Lamilla had gone to their back door after hearing the shot, where they observed and spoke to George Zimmerman. Mora Lamilla told reporters she asked him three times 'what happened?' and only after the third query did he respond, "Just call the police." Cutcher described his response as "nonchalant" and "like 'leave me alone'." Mora Lamilla said Zimmerman then walked around the body nervously. Thus, in this call when Cutcher says, "Selma come here," she is likely expressing fear of Zimmerman, because she has already seen Trayvon Martin dead on the ground. This is the only call we know to be placed AFTER the witnesses had already observed the scene in person and spoken to Zimmerman, and the only one where the caller (Cutcher) is not observing the scene directly during the call, but rather getting information relayed by someone else (Mora Lamilla). Caller 3 has given 'disguised' interviews with Anderson Cooper (http://tinyurl.com/75ddntw) and Ashleigh Banfield of CNN. She was observing the scene when the shot was fired. Her reports of Zimmerman's affect after the shooting corroborate those of Cutcher and Mora Lamilla. She told Cooper the two men were on the ground, on the grass, away from the sidewalk and that she believed Zimmerman was on top, though she could not be sure. She did report that there was no movement of the man on top when the shot occurred. Key points: 1. The first call definitively places the gunshot at 7:16:58. 2. The first call establishes there was at least 45 seconds of screaming before the shot. 3. Many media accounts indicate police arrived at the site of the shooting at 7:17. Although the police report lists an arrival time of 7:17, this references that the first squad car to arrive, driven by Ofc. Timothy Smith, entered the complex at 7:17:XX. Call 2 clearly places Smith on the wrong side of a large building from the actual scene of the shooting as late as 7:18:20. 4. All four calls made following the gunshot mention a flashlight appearing on the scene before Officer Smith would have arrived. In her interview with Anderson Cooper, caller 3 states that the first person to arrive with a flashlight was neither the Officer, nor George Zimmerman, but a neighbor, who has since been identified as witness 13. ANALYSIS Leaks from the SPD, & statements from the Zimmerman family have presented George Zimmerman's account of events as : Zimmerman was attacked by Trayvon Martin and knocked to the ground, at which point Martin assumed a superior position over him, holding him to the ground while repeatedly pummeling him with his fists and banging his head against the sidewalk, while Zimmerman shouted for help. This account is inconsistent with the evidence from these calls on several points. 1. It is difficult to imagine how Martin could have beaten Zimmerman as GZ described for over 45 seconds without Zimmerman receiving more serious injuries than he did. 2. The sounds of the screams are too clear and unwavering in pitch to be consistent with coming from someone who had a hand placed over his mouth, or was receiving blows to the head of any sort. 3. "John" describes the two men as "wrestling" which would be an unlikely word to describe a one-sided beat-down. 4. The screams audible in call 1 are extremely anguished. It is hard to imagine the person making those screams being "nonchalant" mere seconds later. 5. Caller 3 told Cooper she saw almost all of the fight, and the whole thing occurred on the grass, so neither man's head was ever near the sidewalk concrete.
