We are at the Baan Chaeng Beach Resort and Spa located right on the famous Chaweng Beach on the Island of Koh Samui in Thailand. This hotel is located on a quite side Road to the main Chaweng Beach Road which winds it´s way through the main city area of Chaweng Beach. This is a 3 Star Beach Resort and our choice of Hotel / Resort to stay at when visiting the island of Ko Samui because of the excellent Beach that lies right in front of it. We used to stay at the more upmarket Chaweng Regent Hotel which we can also highly recommend, but changed to the Baan Chaweng Hotel because of its location. *Update (2023): This hotel has undergone some renovations since this video was filmed back in 2019. One such renovation has been made to the breakfast sitting area which means that the area no longer looks the same as the breakfast area we experienced. Tip: Before booking a hotel, always check Tripadvisor for reviews and up-to-date photos of hotels uploaded by fellow travelers. The Baan Chaweng Beach Resort and Spa is a 3-Star Hotel / Resort with 92 Rooms available. Room types include 4 Beach Front Suites, 11 Grand Deluxe Villas, 21 Deluxe Villas, 12 Superior Villas, 6 Deluxe Rooms and 38 Superior Rooms. The hotel is centrally located in Chaweng Beach with plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs in an easy walking distance. Chaweng Beach has it´s own shopping mall complete with cinema called the Central Festival Shopping Center and is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Koh Samui Airport or Samui Airport is located 15 minutes from the resort and Nathon Town is locate 30 minutes from the hotel. Facilities at this hotel, apart from the amazing Chaweng Beach just in front of the hotel, include: The Rachavadee Spa, "a sanctuary of serenity and natural beauty for those seeking to relax and restore body and mind..." The Leelavadee Restaurant located on the beachfront, "Serves you with Thai traditional cuisine and fresh seafood cuisine. Ideal place for romantic dinners. Show and entertainment are available here..." Swimming Pool When we stay at the Baan Chaweng Beach Resort we always stay in a Deluxe Villa. This may not be a 4 or 5 Star Luxury Resort but we can highly recommend a stay here to fellow travellers!
