Enkanyisweni Church of Christ in Zion (CCZ), founded in 1981 by the visionary Professor PDP Sithathu, has been a beacon of faith and hope for generations. Rooted in Mtubatuba, Gunjaneni, CCZ grew from humble beginnings into a thriving spiritual community. Under the guidance of leaders like Archbishop N Mthembu and Archbishop Gazu, Professor Sithathu established a foundation of trust in God that continues to inspire. In 2008, the church’s music group, Umkhalanga, won the Best of Umkhalanga award, followed by their debut album, solidifying CCZ’s vibrant music ministry. After Professor Sithathu’s passing in 2014, the church flourished under Presiding Archbishop Mkhwanazi, transitioning in 2016 to a registered organization to expand its reach. A cornerstone of CCZ’s faith is the annual pilgrimage to the mountain for prayer and fasting—a cherished tradition that strengthens their spiritual bond. Embracing the digital age, CCZ shares its message and music worldwide through online platforms.
