Ever since I started recording my own gameplay footage and posting it on YouTube in late 2011, I have occasionally been contacted by people asking me for help installing forlik's MoTmod, usually saying they don't fully understand the instructions forlik gave out on the original host site for the mod. Sometimes the help I give is successful, other times not, sometimes it takes a good while before I finally realize the issue and then the mod goes well for the person in question. Some people have also been asking me to make a video tutorial in the hope that they'll better understand what to do. For various reasons, however, I wasn't in a position to make such a video until now, fourteen years later. Migrating the mod to my new Windows 11 in the final days of Windows 10's lifespan has provided me with the right opportunity to do so. My preferred method for installation is to go through every single folder and add extra files in them accordingly. It may be very painstakingly time consuming for a lot of people, and trust me it's painstaking for me, but I believe it's the best way of avoiding any errors when trying to run the mod afterwards. I'll record the entire installation process, and like with every tutorial video I make, I encourage you to listen to a music track of your choice while watching it. Of course, I realize most people will want me to get to the point of providing the relevant step, so throughout the video I'll point out when to click on the relevant timestamp in the description. Timestamps: 0:34 Downloading the main MoTmod 1:33 Extracting the vfs files from both base games 4:37 Relocating the vfs files once they've been extracted 5:40 Transferring most of DtS' files to MoT's folder 45:45 Adding the MoTmod data to the game 1:00:30 An extra step for Steam users 1:01:31 A caveat for Russian users Please note that I will NOT be providing instructions on how to install my Addon in this video as well, as the files in them are meant to be implemented into the game AFTER the main MoTmod has been installed. Here's the GitHub link to the main MoTmod: https://github.com/forlik/motmod If you want to install my unofficial addon afterwards, here are the DropBox and MEGA links: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gzl7ir... https://mega.nz/file/v0dWTSJT#khuqdVw...
